PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Delaware barber has a chair for President Joe Biden — it's one he's used for decades to cut his hair before Biden became president, and this decades-old relationship still continues.
“A light trim" is what Greenville barber Joe Pacello would give Biden now at his shop the Men's Room.
Pacello met Biden when he was a senator back in 1976 and said he loved Pacello's technique.
‘"If you can do that one time like that’, he said, ‘you're my guy,’” Pacello recalled.
The last time Pacello trimmed Biden's hair was back in 2018, but the relationship has still continued.
"Went for my first chemo, when I came out of my test, he called me to find out how it went,” Pacello said.
Apart from having the same name and being the same age, Pacello said they were destined to meet.
“When he had his prom at Archmere, my band played his prom,” he said.
Pacello said he felt very emotional watching the inauguration, and feels excited about the future.
And if the 46th president reaches out for a cut?
"Well, if he calls me I'll be glad to do it,” Pacello said.
