PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- State senators in Delaware have overwhelmingly approved two bills on marijuana legislation.
One bill legalizes possession of small amounts of weed, and the other bill sets the framework for how cannabis can be legally sold in the state.
Zoë Patchell, executive director of the Delaware Cannabis Advocacy Network, hopes this settles the legality of weed once and for all in Delaware.
"We're hoping that the governor will respect the will of the people and the two-thirds of lawmakers who have now passed this measure for a second time."
The last time lawmakers in Delaware voted to legalize weed, the governor vetoed it. This time, there appears to be enough votes to override any veto.
