PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Tim Boyce, Delaware County director of Emergency Services, has been fired following allegations of sexual misconduct and discrimination.

Delaware County Council voted to remove him Friday, saying the decision was based on sufficient information gained from multiple sources regarding unacceptable workplace behavior.

Boyce was suspended on April 29 after two women came forward with their accusations, which the state Attorney General’s Office is now investigating.

A lawyer representing the women says one of the accusers claimed Boyce discriminated against her over her age.

The other accuser, said to be Boyce's executive assistant, alleged Boyce groped and attempted to kiss her in his office.

Delaware County Council said they are working with the emergency service's management team to provide needed resources as they deal with this challenging situation.

Deputy Director Ed Beebe will continue to lead the department.

KYW Newsradio has reached out to Boyce and is awaiting comment.
