PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Delaware County voters will soon have more options for where to drop off their mail-in ballots. Election officials say 32 ballot boxes will be installed across the county by Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Voters can turn in their ballots at any of the boxes, in addition to the boxes located at voter service centers in Media, Upper Darby and Chester.
“The convenient drop boxes allow residents to vote without the need for in-person interaction or a reliance on mail carriers during COVID-19 pandemic. Voters can cast their vote with confidence while practicing social distancing outdoors,” officials said in a statement.
Election officials say the boxes will be open by 10 a.m. on Oct. 20. Most of them can be used 24 hours a day, each day of the week up until Nov. 3.
