PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two healthcare systems have joined forces to offer better access to heart patients.
Doylestown Health and Redeemer Health are joining forces in a new venture called Doylestown Health Cardiology at Rockledge in Partnership with Redeemer Health.
Adam Edelson, vice president of ambulatory services and networking development for Doylestown, said the services are needed because Redeemer Health doesn’t employ a large number of cardiologists.
“Doylestown Health already provides cardiology services in Doylestown, Warrington, Warminster and Meadowbrook," said Edelson.
"This is an extension to Meadowbrook in providing cardiology services. We are looking to be able to expand our expertise and take care of the patients in that market place. With Redeemer Health, it provides great access to care and patience stay local.”
He says the patients will be able to see a cardiologist in their community who are backed by the medical services of two health systems.
