PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One person is dead after being hit by a SEPTA Regional Rail train while inside their car Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. along the Media/Elwyn Line, between the Primose and Secane stations, in Delaware County.
A SEPTA spokesperson said the train was carrying more than two dozen passengers when it collided with the car, which was not parked on the tracks at the time.
Commuters on the train were not injured.
SEPTA officials are continuing to investigate what exactly happened.
