PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say that a man has been hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a SEPTA bus while crossing the street.
The collision happened at about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of 58th Street and Woodland Avenue in West Philadelphia.
The bus was going north on 58th Street when it hit the 60-year-old man, according to police. Rescue units took the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Police say the bus driver remained on the scene.
Earlier Tuesday, a driver died after a SEPTA Media/Elwyn line train collided with their vehicle.
