PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — “At 13 miles, Broad Street is Philadelphia’s longest straightaway.” So begins a cryptic 32-second video the Philadelphia Eagles’ official X account posted just before 1:30 a.m. Monday, as celebrations still raged on throughout the city after the Eagles dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

“Thought it was time to bring this one out again. See ya Friday,” the post read.

The video narration goes on to say how, despite being only 100 feet wide, they would “make room for everyone” on Broad Street. The clip closes on an image of the Lombardi Trophy.

Philadelphia Eagles president Don Smolenski confirmed on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show that the Super Bowl parade will be on Friday, Feb. 14. That's Valentine's Day. In the City of Brotherly Love.

"We are holding Friday," Smolenski said. "Friday will be the day. I think we're going to do something tomorrow with the city, but I think we put something out last night just to say Friday. Just watching the weather, we've got some snow coming this week so we want to be respectful for the city to do what they need to do. One extra day of planning doesn't hurt and it's a nice way to kick off the weekend."

At around 11:30 a.m., the city confirmed the date on social media.

A couple of hours later, the city announced that further details about the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LIX Championship Celebration, including the exact route and timing, will be announced on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at City Hall.

"The City of Philadelphia is proud to celebrate the Super Bowl LIX Champions Philadelphia Eagles with a parade and celebration spanning from the stadium complex to the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art."
