PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Tuesday is the last day voters may apply for a mail-in ballot in Pennsylvania. That means, it’s effectively the end of early voting in the state.

Lines were out the door at Philadelphia’s satellite election offices Monday, including one in North Philadelphia, where Sam Gatheca decided the wait was worth it.

“I was juggling between voting on Election Day and voting earlier so today I was just like, ‘let me vote now because the last day to vote early is tomorrow,” Gatheca said. “I didn’t expect there to be a long line like this but I know on Election Day it’s going to be much worse so that’s why I’m doing it today.”

Until county election board offices close on Tuesday, voters can still go in, request a mail-in ballot, fill it out and return it on the spot.

Any Pennsylvanian who doesn’t vote by Tuesday must to go in person to the polls on Nov. 5 to cast their ballot the old-fashioned way.
