Four injured after ambulance crashes into South Jersey home

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — First responders and police were on the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon in Mount Holly, New Jersey, that saw an ambulance crash into a house.

Mount Holly Police said the crash happened along Woodlane Road near its intersections with Tinker Drive and Kings Road.

They said four people were injured in the crash. Three were in the ambulance, including its driver, an EMT, and the patient it was transporting. The other injury was sustained by an individual in the house. Police said none of the injuries are life-threatening.

Visuals of the scene showed the front half of the ambulance through a wall and window of the house.

The ambulance belongs to TriCare Medical Transportation.

In a statement, company president Anthony Maneri said the ambulance was performing a non-emergency transport from a hospital to another facility around 3:30 when it left the road and hit the house. Maneri said there was one person in the home, and the ambulance was carrying one patient and three EMTs.

Police continue to investigate the crash and restoration efforts on the house are underway.
