PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Haverford College religion professor charged with cyberstalking a colleague will remain in federal custody until his trial.

Guangtian Ha is alleged to have sent about 50 social media messages to a colleague that were threatening and antisemitic in nature.

Prosecutors said he started posting antisemitic threats in October 2025, with posts and replies to posts invoking the “Führer,” calling for Lower Merion to be cleansed and jews to be “exterminated” and placed in “special camps.”

Posts attributed to Ha also include images of the victim’s home and multiple posts that mention the victim’s baby by name.

School officials said Ha is on sabbatical leave from school and has been banned from campus.

After the allegations came to light, Haverford College President Wendy Raymond issued a statement that said, in part, she was “heartbroken and furious” that someone in the school community would seek to “inflict such pain on another.”

Ha’s attorney did not respond to a request for comment.
