Investigators said a man got into an argument with the unidentified male driver of a white Dodge Durango with tinted windows. The argument escalated, and the victim stood in front of the vehicle. That's when officials said the driver accelerated and struck the victim, dragging him about 100 feet down the street.

Police said the driver exited the car to observe the victim before getting back inside and fleeing the scene.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he died a short time later.
