PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say they are trying to find the vehicle they say was involved in a deadly hit-and-run early Sunday morning.

According to investigators, the vehicle struck Jamal Jackson, 31, from Grays Ferry, at about 12:15 a.m. at the corner of Alleghany Avenue and E Street in Kensington.

The vehicle then slowed down, dragging Jackson about a block and a half before fleeing the scene, authorities say.

Police describe the vehicle as an Acura TL, from 2004 to 2008, white or light gray with a sunroof, with damage to the right rear bumper area.

Authorities say that anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident should call the Philadelphia Police Accident Investigation District at 215-685-3180 or leave an anonymous tip at 215-686-TIPS.
