
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Delaware County are investigating after an employee of a smoke shop was gunned down and killed in Crum Lynne on Friday.
Authorities said It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Empire Smoke Shop & Phones store on Chester Pike near Smiley Street.
As Ridley Township Police officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim unresponsive, slumped behind the counter with multiple gunshots wounds.
The employee was pronounced dead shortly after.
There was no initial word on the identity of the victim.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect caught on camera in the store before the shooting.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous, police say.
