PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Around 4:00 a.m. Saturday Philadelphia police and the fire department responded to a house fire near Mayfair.
Police say when they arrived at the scene two women, who were standing outside of the house located on the 4200 Block of Passmore Street, escaped the fire on their own.
They were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
PFD extinguished the fire and ruled it arson. They believe an argument broke out between one of the women and a man in his early 40s, leading to him setting fire to the home.
Northeast Detectives are still investigating the scene.
