SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A doctor in Gloucester City, New Jersey had his medical license permanently revoked on Tuesday after a federal conviction for conspiracy to distribute opioids.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said Edward Lundy pleaded guilty in January to providing more than 1,600 oxycodone pills for no medical reason.
According to investigators, Lundy wasn’t performing adequate physical examinations or assessing for dependence, as required by law.
He is no longer allowed to work in the medical industry in almost any capacity.
Sentencing is scheduled for May in federal court.
