
NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with the shooting of an innocent bystander Tuesday night in Wildwood.
Cape May County prosecutors say it happened around 10:30 p.m., just two blocks off the boardwalk on the 3800 block of Pacific Avenue.
Police have not released any details on what led to the shooting, but they did identify William C. Hoyle as a suspect.
They say the victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police have issued a warrant for Hoyle's arrest. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Wildwood police at 609-522-0222 or the Cape May County prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135.
