3 charged for alleged involvement in juvenile trafficking ring in Camden County

SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey State Police arrested three people for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking ring.

Authorities say the trio was selling a missing juvenile into prostitution in Camden County.

Marquise Ogawa, 28, Chyaire Lee, 26, and Jazmin Scott, 21, all of Lawnside, are now behind bars at the Camden County Jail.

Police say the juvenile from Voorhees went missing on Oct. 26 of last year. Shortly thereafter, advertisements began appearing online for prostitution in Cherry Hill. Through a month-long investigation, police were able to link the advertisements to Scott.

Detectives were able to locate the victim and reunite her with family in late November.

Investigators say Lee and Ogawa were arrested in early December. They are accused of paying for hotel rooms, transporting the victim and collecting payments.

All three suspects are facing numerous charges.
