PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Bensalem have arrested a woman they say stole a FedEx package containing more than $43,000 in silver and gold in May.
On May 11, Kaileigh Hogan, 25, from Ontario, Canada, signed for the package, which wasn't hers, then drove off.
Police tracked her rental car — which she rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car the day before — back to the Philadelphia International Airport. After the theft, officials say Hogan returned to the airport and flew to Arizona.
Hogan was arrested on July 5 trying to cross into Canada from Lewiston, New York, just north of Niagara Falls.
Last week, Hogan was brought back to Bucks County and arraigned on forgery and two other felony theft charges. She remains in custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
