PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Kimmel Cultural Campus is requiring proof of vaccination to attend any of their events across the city.

The venues include the Kimmel Center at the corner of Broad and Spruce streets, the nearby Academy of Music, and the Forrest Theater near the corner of 11th and Walnut streets.

They said if you are over 12 years old and able to be vaccinated, a negative COVID test won't be enough.

The Kimmel also requires employees and patrons wear a mask except when eating or drinking.

Similar rules have been put in place at venues around the country. Ticket holders will get detailed instructions about what they will need leading up to showtime.

Kimmel Cultural Campus' CEO Anne Ewers said nearly all of their patrons are vaccinated, but they are taking no chances when it comes to safety.
