PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There is little doubt that a recent Georgia College football game with television images of fans not wearing masks or social distancing has become one of the lasting images of ignoring the way the virus spreads.

But the social media reaction may provide greater insight into why the U.S. is a world leader in COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Reactions ranged from the political "No one can tell me what to do" to the selfish "Young people don't get sick."

But there were other key comments centering around frustration with what seems like an endless battle of isolation and reduced social interaction, frustration leading to risky behavior and potential serious illness.
