KYW Medical Report: Vaccinated vs. unvaccinated individuals

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — We are at the point in the vaccination cycle where there are likely more people who are vaccinated than not.

If you are vaccinated and around people who are not vaccinated, but who are at low risk of severe COVID-19 illness, you can interact with them — even if they are from other households.

But any time you are with people you don’t know or people who you know have an increased risk of severe illness, you must take all precautions, like mask-wearing and social distancing.

If you are unvaccinated and exposed to someone with COVID-19, you need to quarantine, even if the person who has COVID-19 has been vaccinated.
