PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One of the most common questions I get is when will things return to normal? Here is what the experts say.
The pandemic — the rapid, uncontrolled spread of the virus — might end, but it will continue to transmit at lower levels. This is called endemic spread.
Over time, endemic viruses typically become less harmful.
In the short run, many experts predict a second peak later on in the year, before the virus becomes endemic. Normality will return gradually.
The virus will be with us for the foreseeable future, and we may have to brace ourselves for things getting worse before they get better.
They will get better, but no one can predict when.
