PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This week’s extreme heat has claimed the lives of two people in Lehigh County.
The coroner said a 78-year-old man from Washington Township and a 76-year-old man from Allentown died on Tuesday due to the hot weather. Temperatures climbed into the upper 90s.
There have been no heat-related deaths reported in Philadelphia.
The early heat wave will come to an abrupt end on Wednesday when a cold front passes through the region.
