PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An overnight apartment fire in Bucks County left one person hospitalized with burns, officials said.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday, emergency crews were dispatched to an apartment building on Thomas Place in Levittown for reports of a fire inside one of the units.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito told NBC10 that the spark originated in a kitchen trash can. Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the apartment or neighboring units.
One person suffered burns and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
