PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Bucks County have arrested a man from Northeast Philadelphia and accused him of sending sexually explicit messages to an underage girl.

Officials said on March 4th, Ian Evans, 34, began talking to a 13-year-old girl on social media, quickly transitioning to text messages.

Police said that within a day, the messages turned sexual. Then, he sent sexually explicit photos of himself and said he wanted to meet up with the child for specific sexual acts.

Over the next few weeks, police said, Evans sent pornography, including videos of him touching himself, and asked for the girl to send naked pictures.
Investigators said he agreed to meet the child in the woods behind his workplace in Bensalem, Bucks County.

The meeting never happened. Police arrested Evans on April 4, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. He's been charged with offenses including sexual abuse of children.
