Man accused of shooting 13-year-old in Kingsessing arrested

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Federal authorities have arrested a Philadelphia man accused of shooting a 13-year-old boy last week during a dispute over wet concrete.

Police said 43-year-old Keith Holmes was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals Wednesday morning. He has been charged with aggravated assault and gun offenses for allegedly shooting the teen last Thursday over freshly poured concrete near 57th Street and Kingsessing Avenue in the city's Kingsessing section.

According to authorities, the boy was shot several times but is expected to physically recover.

Holmes has been on the run since last week. He was caught in West Philly along 63rd Street. Officials said he was staying at a family member’s apartment.
