PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for a group of people they say beat a man and robbed him of tens of thousands of dollars in Olney early Sunday morning.
It was after 2 a.m. when police say they found the man along North Sixth Street, near Ruscomb Street, with visible injuries to his head.
The man told officers he was on his way home from an event in North Philly when several people beat him with a baseball bat, took his bag that had $30,000 in cash and ran off.
Police have not detailed the extent of the victim's injuries.
It's not known where the suspects fled to.
