PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A South Jersey man is facing a slew of charges after police say he crashed a boat while under the influence, sending several adults and two babies to the hospital.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, investigators say a boat hit an area under the 34th Street Bridge along the Schuylkill River. There were nine people on board, including the driver.
Three women and one man, ranging in age from 23 to 31, were taken to area hospitals for varying issues, including head, ankle and back injuries.
Two 1-year-olds were also taken to the hospital — one for evaluation and another for a nosebleed.
Two other men in their 20s were not injured.
