PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been charged with aggravated assault and related offenses following viral footage that showed a man assaulting a driver and throwing bricks through his car windows.

According to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, 27-year-old Gregory Stevens assaulted a driver on Broad Street, near Washington Avenue, on Tuesday after Stevens’ group of dirt bikers stopped short in traffic. The driver struck the back of Stevens’ bike with his SUV.

When the driver got out of his car to check on Stevens, police say he repeatedly hit him. The violent incident was captured on video and shared on social media.

Video also shows the man, alleged to be Stevens, getting a gun from one of the parked motorcycles and approaching the SUV, and throwing bricks and cinder blocks through the SUV windows.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Stevens is already prohibited from carrying guns and is on state parole for a 2014 robbery conviction. He now faces simple assault and harassment charges and ATV violations.

Even further, Stevens faces attempted murder and robbery charges for an unrelated incident last month. The District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Stevens on Tuesday, before the Broad Street assault, for an armed robbery in Feltonville on Feb. 22.

Police say Stevens entered a pharmacy and demanded “Oxys” at gunpoint. They say Stevens shot the pharmacist in the chest, pointed the gun at the pharmacist’s head, then fled.
