PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been found guilty of third-degree murder for fatally shooting a bystander inside a Northeast Philly bar nearly four years ago.

A judge convicted Anthony Nelson of killing 21-year-old Jailene Holton inside the Philly Bar & Restaurant at 2417 Welsh Road, just off Roosevelt Boulevard, on June 28, 2022.

Authorities said Nelson was kicked out of the bar during an argument over a pool table, then went to his car, grabbed a gun and fired 15 times into the building — striking Holton in the head.

He was arrested days later at an Atlantic City casino.

Nelson, who was also convicted of firearms and reckless endangerment charges, will be sentenced in April.
