Man critical after being hit by a car at McDonald’s drive-thru in Northeast Philadelphia

CRESCENTVILLE (KYW Newsradio) — A man is critically hurt after he was struck by a car at a McDonald's drive-thru in Crescentville last night.

Philadelphia Police said it was after 11 p.m. when a 31-year-old man in a Ford went through the drive-thru of a McDonald's on Adams Avenue, near Howland Street.

That's when authorities said the car struck the 44-year-old victim, who was lying on the pavement.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver stayed on scene, and police said he has not been charged yet in connection with the incident.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is still investigating the incident to learn more about its circumstances and why the victim was lying on the ground at the time he was hit.
