NORTH PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are investigating a double shooting on Friday night in North Philadelphia that left two men suffering from gunshot wounds, one in critical condition..
Authorities said the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of 24th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philadelphia, also close to the Cecil B. Moore Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
When officers arrived, they found a 37-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He was taken to Temple Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
A 47-year-old man also suffering from gunshot wounds later arrived at Temple Hospital via private vehicle and was placed in critical condition.
Police have not recovered any weapons and the investigation is ongoing.
