PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was found dead on the sidewalk outside his West Philadelphia home Friday morning.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive person on the 800 block of North 66th Street in Overbrook around 6:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a 67-year-old man facedown on the sidewalk.
According to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, police say he suffered severe trauma to his head and was pronounced at the scene.
Police are not sure how he died, but believe he may have been attacked or slipped and fallen.
His death is being investigated as a homicide as police wait for the medical examiner to determine the cause.
