Police investigating after man shot, killed behind Dunkin’ in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Dunkin’ in Northeast Philadelphia is closed for a homicide investigation, as police try to figure out how a man ended up shot and killed behind the store early Tuesday morning.

Around 5 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Levick Street and Roosevelt Boulevard for a report of a robbery in progress.

Upon arrival, police found a man outside the coffee shop who had been shot an unknown number of times. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police have not provided any information about the gun that was used or named any suspects.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation.
