PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in Kensington that left a little girl wounded and a man dead.
Around 11:30 Thursday morning, on Somerset Street near Lehigh Avenue, a 4-year-old girl was shot four times — once in the chest and shoulder, and twice in the arm, according to authorities.
She was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and is in stable condition.
Police say a 32-year-old man was shot in the neck and backside. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No weapons were recovered. There's no word yet from police on any arrests or a motive for the shooting.
