PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police said someone shot at a group of people outside a Chinese takeout restaurant in North Philadelphia Sunday night, seriously injuring two people.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. near the corner of Glenwood and Germantown avenues.

Inspector D.F. Pace said the shooter pulled up on a small, red motorcycle and started firing.

"There were about four or five people standing at the corner patronizing that store when this shooter shot in that direction, striking two of the four or five persons that were there," he said.

The two victims — a man and a woman — are both in critical condition.

Another man who was outside the restaurant returned fire. He was gone by the time police arrived.

Police said the shooter abandoned the motorcycle and ran away. They are looking at surveillance video to try to figure out who he is.
