PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was punched and shot several times while sitting in his car early Saturday morning, according to our newsgathering partners at NBC10.
The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. along Palethorp Street near Susquehanna Avenue.
Police told NBC10 a 36-year-old man was shot at least five times, including once in the back, while sitting in his car. Then, they said, they believe the shooter ran off but returned to punch the man in the face before fleeing once more.
The man is currently hospitalized in critical condition. The suspect is at large.
According to NBC10, investigators believe both the man and the suspect live on the same block and got into an argument prior to the shooting.
