PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman is in police custody after a man was shot inside a car in West Philadelphia early Thursday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near SEPTA’s Callowhill Bus Depot around 3:30 a.m. The 33-year-old victim was shot at least once inside a Jeep at 59th and Vine streets, officials said.
He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A 37-year-old woman who was on scene was taken into custody and is expected to face charges.
A gray Jeep that is part of the investigation was left in the middle of a crosswalk on Vine Street, but it has been searched and moved over to the side of 59th Street, freeing up that crosswalk and giving buses room to turn onto Vine.
Police have not said how the man and woman know each other. An investigation is ongoing.
