Police investigating after man shot, killed at Mount Holly park

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A man was shot and killed at a park in Mount Holly, Burlington County, on Monday night.

The shooting took place at Mill Dam Park, located at Pine and Wall streets, around 5:45 p.m., according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, which is leading the investigation.

Authorities did not provide many details about the incident and did not publicly identify the victim. A relative told NBC10 that the man was in his 20s and had a young child.

It was not immediately clear if there were other people in the park when the shooting took place. A firehouse is near the park entrance and parking lot, but officials did not say if anyone was there at the time.
