PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was shot and killed next to a Northeast Philadelphia playground on Sunday afternoon, where kids were playing.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. on Summerdale Avenue, near Houseman Playground.
“Looks like this particular gunshot victim was walking along Summerdale when he was approached by one or possibly more men, one wielding a firearm, who then fired multiple times at the victim,” said Police Inspector D.F. Pace.
The victim died at the hospital.
The gunman got away. Investigators are interviewing witnesses. So far, police have not made any arrests.
