PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in Ogontz Friday morning.
Officers were called to the intersection of North Gratz Street and Medary Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found a 65-year-old man lying in the street, shot once in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Police said a single shell casing was recovered near the man’s body, but no arrests have been made.
Investigators are trying to piece together what led up to the shooting.
