PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man riding a scooter was shot in North Philadelphia.
It happened early Thursday morning, around 1 a.m., at Judson Street and West Diamond Street, near William Dick Elementary School.
According to police, the victim is in his early 20s and was shot three times. When police arrived, they found the man and took him to the hospital, where he got emergency surgery and is now in critical condition.
Investigators say one or more shooters got away in a Mercedes. They also recovered six spent shell casings at the scene and will review security footage gathered in the neighborhood.
Police have not determined who was involved or a motive for the shooting, and urge anyone with information to contact them.
