PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man stabbed another man during a fight on a SEPTA bus in Center City early Monday morning.
A fight broke out around 3 a.m. on a westbound L1 OWL bus which was across the street from City Hall at 15th and Market. Police said the situation escalated when one of the men took a knife out and stabbed the other man and ran away.
Police and medics took the victim to the hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition. No one else was hurt.
Investigators spent a few hours on the scene. The bus had yellow crime scene tape around the front entrance and investigators could be seen speaking to the driver. The bus was parked and surrounded by Philadelphia and SEPTA police vehicles.
The suspect has not been publicly identified and was still on the loose as of 7 a.m. Monday.
