CHELTENHAM, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — A Planet Fitness employee in Cheltenham is fighting for his life after being stabbed multiple times by a patron inside the gym.
Cheltenham police said the stabbing happened Thursday just after 12:30 p.m. at the Planet Fitness in the Cedarbrook Plaza off Easton Road in Wyncote. It came after they said a man and employee got into an altercation.
Authorities said the suspect had been previously banned from the gym. He was apprehended nearby the gym not long after the incident.
The victim was transported to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
