NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — An armed suspect at a CVS in Blackwood, Camden County, was shot by police officers early Friday evening.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office didn’t specify what time the shooting happened but said that two Gloucester Township police officers shot an armed suspect at a CVS on College Drive, just down the road from Camden County Community College.
Authorities said the shooting was non-fatal and the suspect, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No officers were injured.
Officials have not said what preceded the shooting. Several police cruisers were at the scene, an emergency command center was set up, and the CVS and its surrounding lot were closed for hours as officials investigated.
The prosecutor’s office said it will release more information at a later time.
