PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for a man they say attempted to rob a deli near Logan Square last month.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 when a man walked into Kennedy Deli on North 19th Street and handed the cashier a note that read, “I got a gun hand over all money there will be no problem I’m a mental patient.”

Police say after the cashier refused his request, the suspect demanded cigarettes. The cashier again refused, and the man left without taking anything. Police say a gun was never shown.

He was last seen in a black Eagles knit hat, blue 76ers sweatshirt, black leather jacket, jeans and black sneakers.

Police say if you see this man, do not approach. Instead, contact them at 215-686-8477.
