PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say shot and killed two people last month in Strawberry Mansion, then walked 3 miles through North Philadelphia to Hunting Park.
The killing happened early in the morning on May 8 at the Johnson Homes, a Philadelphia Housing Authority property on Berks Street, near 25th Street.
Two men, ages 31 and 26, were fatally shot. Another man, also 26, was wounded.
Detectives released a video montage of the suspect — a man who walked for at least three miles after the shooting, officials said, as he was last seen walking east on Susquehanna Avenue, near 11th Street.
He is described as a Black man in his mid-20s or early 30s, with a receding hairline. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police. Tips can be submitted via call or text at 215-686-8477, or online.
