PHILADELPHIA, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — Aleeza Ben Shalom was born in Philadelphia, and has made a career coaching hundreds of singles into finding love.

Now, with a new book out, “Matchmaker Matchmaker: Find Me a Love That Lasts,” the host of Netflix’s “Jewish Matchmaking” is bringing her talents back home for a book signing and matchmaking event at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History.

“The goal of the book is to inspire people to make more matches,” Ben Shalom told KYW Newsradio.

In “Matchmaker Matchmaker,” she shares what she calls “tried and true” methodologies with real-life examples on how to hook the love of your life. Her show on Netflix has the same mission and schools both singles and matchmakers alike.

“It’s what I call edu-tainment. It’s really fun and engaging and you also learn something and walk away with lessons to apply in your own life or to help someone you know who is looking for love,” said Ben Shalom.

The event, on the eve of Valentine’s Day, is also a time for her to show the power of love in the City of Brotherly Love by getting up close and personal.

We’re going to talk about dating, love, relationships and marriage,” said Ben Shalom. “There’s going to be a q-and-a so we can get audience questions and you’ll get a bit of my story.”

After the book-signing and deep dive, those in attendance will get to test out some of what they learned at an after party hosted by Tribe 12, a company dedicated to connecting young singles.
