Others express frustration that they are forced to do more because of staff shortages or layoffs.
Many people are craving some down time — but it is not just adults. Children need down time as well.
Kids don't always express themselves like adults. In fact they may be so overscheduled that they don't recognize they need a break. There are things that parents should look for — such as mood swings or complaints of headaches and stomach aches.
If you find you are rushing your kids from school to sports to homework, with little time in between, think about a break.
Sometimes a carefree day at home or playing with your children in the backyard away from organized activities is best for everyone.
